Diwali- Festival of Lights

 Popularly known as the festival of lights this auspicious festival is celebrated to enjoy Rama's eventual defeat of the evil spirit of Ravana. It is mainly celebrated between Hindus, Jains, Sikhs and  some Buddhist. It also coincides with the Hindu New Year and Birth of Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, that's why people of business community consider it a good time to start new ventures.

Diwali includes good food, fireworks, special candles and lights. The bright and glistening lights and diyas of Diwali symbolises the victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance. It essentially means the Awareness of the inner light.

Diwali also known as deepawli occurs on a no-moon night. It follows 5 days ritual.

👉   day 1 is Dhanteras

👉 day 2 is Narak Chaturdasi

👉 day 3 is Lakshmi puja

👉 day 4 is  Padwa

👉   day 5 is Bhai Dooj

Every year around October and November Hindus around the world celebrate the euphoric occasion of Diwali. This festival is a way to express happiness and affection towards each other. It is meant to lighten one's soul and make it more beautiful. Diwali is a unifying event, and it can soften even the hardest of hearts. It is a time when people mingle about in joy and embrace one another.  People usually forgive each other and start a fresh. There is an air of freedom, festivity and friendliness everywhere. Everyone believe in illuminating  their inner self and commit themselves to do good deed thus bringing us closer to divinity.During Diwali, lights illuminate every corner of India, and the scent of incense sticks hangs in the air, mingled with the sounds of firecrackers, joy, togetherness, and hope.
