THE LAST SCARY NIGHT
I was very
much disappointed about leaving the village and everyone I know here,
especially Kamal. I don’t want to tell him anything about yesterday; I just
wanted to spend some time with him. So when grandma, uncle and aunt were busy I
slipped out of the house and went to Kamal’s house. We took long walks together,
went to the lake and sat beneath our favourite tree. When it was time to leave we
hugged each other and promised never to forget our friendship. I went towards
our home where grandma was already waiting for me, I thanked my aunt and uncle
for everything they did for me after my parent’s death and we set off for
Majuli, our new village. It was not too
far and grandma said we will reach their next morning. When we reached I was
fast asleep, grandma woke me up and we were in our new house. It was a small
house of one room, one kitchen and a hall. It took us whole day to arrange
everything, me and grandma were very much exhausted so we decided to sleep
early. We had dinner and soon were fast asleep. After an hour I heard some
sounds coming from outside I stood up and looked outside from the small window.
There were many people out there and it looked like something was wrong.
I went out
to see what the issue was, and founded out that a boy was missing! Soon grandma
too came out, she was amazed too. It was like everyone knew about the girl in
the field and was sure it was she who took away the boy. Some men came forward
and were ready to bring the boy where some said we must wait for the morning.
That is when my grandma came forward and said we must not wait till the morning
or else we will lose both the girl and the boy. Everyone agreed to the words of
grandma, some men came forth and decided to head towards field, grandma insisted
everyone that I should to go as I have been a victim of this before too. I was very
afraid but grandma told me not to worry as it will be the last scary night and
then everything will be fine. I concurred to her and we set off to the fields.
It was a silent and swift night, only the insects could be heard and the footsteps stepping on the dry grass. Suddenly we heard someone crossing us from the opposite direction and everyone stopped. We waited for some time and again started walking, we can see the lake in some distance. It was an abnormal environment, everything seemed to be scary. When we came near the lake I was able to see the girl sitting there like I saw her for the first time. I shouted, “There she is!” Everyone got alert and said me to go be quiet and one of them pulled me back turned me around and said, “don’t look around, whatever happens don’t move.” I froze over there and the man ran back my heart started pumping and my body was shivering. I closed my eyes and I can see that every phase when I met that girl and it seemed like forever. Then suddenly my eyes opened and there was moment of silent, only the wind was roaring in the fields.
Then I heard
a scary long scream as someone was tortured to death and living the last
breath. I turned around and only the men were there, I could not see the girl.
The men approached me with a boy . We all started walking back I again turned
around but the girl was not there.
We reached
the village and the sun was rising. Everyone was happy that now nothing is
there to worry about, everything has solved. I went straight to home with
nothing left to say what I only thought about was the girl in the field.
THE END
Wow! Another fascinating story yet again!! You depict the story as if it is painted in front of one's eyes. I am still keen to know what happened to the girl in the field. Try to work on the climax as it is the most essential part. Proud of you Aaru Beta!! :-)
