Children's Day Article

Every year on 14th of November, the occasion of "Children's day" is celebrated throughout India. It is celebrated on the birth of our former prime minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. He had great love and affection towards children. That's why he wanted his birthday to be celebrated as children's day every year so that the people can be aware of the importance of children in the society. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was popularly known as Chacha Nehru among children out of love.

It is very important to each and every child in our country to be educated irrespective of caste, gender, wealth etc. As Chacha Nehru believed that our children are the upcoming future of our country ,India, if they are not rightly educated or told about their necessary rights, the future of India will not be able to shine. May it be a child living in slums or a child in luxury each one should have right to be educated and to be treated equally. In our country some people believe that a child who belongs to the lower caste should not get the rights that the children of upper caste enjoy, which is undoubtedly wrong and an act of injustice.Even though slowly and steadily the society is rising above from this inequity and treating every child in a fair way. Many times people also distinguish the right to education on the basics of gender, they believe a girl child has the responsibility of a family and it is certainly useless to educate her. While a boy child must be given all the rights and be educated very well. Many people have protested against this big lie. May it be rallies ,boycotts or through act of public speeches and dramas and this has also risen hope. Now as compared to the older times the result of number of girl child being educated and given equal rights has lifted.

Many such myths about a child not being educated due to different and unnecessary reasons still keep intruding in the way of a clean and equal opportunity to education and rights in India. But wise people of the society are giving their best to clear these intruders and make a good system. That is why to remind and remember that the future of India is dependent on how we treat our children in present Children's Day is celebrated once in every year.
