The Girl in the Field
It was almost midnight and I could barely sleep, the continuous snoring of my uncle and the scorching heat were good enough for keeping me awake. My eye were open all the time just to ensure no one was near me and to gaze through the window the magnificent moon shining brightly in the sky accompanied by the stars . But my whole attention was driven when I saw the glimpse of a girl in the field. I started at her for a while to confirm that someone was really there I stranded and decided to go to the field .My aunt usually warn me to such things but I wasn’t able to stop myself.
I started to go to the
field, when I was finally there struggling with my broken slipper. I was not
able to find her I felt a little awkward that I came into the field but I
decided to find her after troubling myself so much, I finally found near an oak
tree .When I started coming nearer to her, she gave me a smile her face was not
clear in the dark but her shining teeth made me knew of her smile. For a
while I stopped and wondered that what would cause a girl to come out in the
field in midway. When I stepped ahead my troublesome slippers made me fall, it
took me time to figure
out what had happened to me. My knee was scratched when I looked towards the oak
tree the girl was not there. I found it strange to happen. I took the
slippers in my hand and gazed my way to the lake to get my wound fixed.
I saw
that girl sitting on the river side looking at the lake. I had a thought that a
miracle would happen. And she would disappear but still I walked towards the
lake. I was at a distance away from her; I sat beside her and started watering
my wound. She was wearing a red frock and her hair were long, touching her
waist. Her face was grabbed in her legs and hands. I stepped towards her reflection
to see her face in the water but as I looked to my great presence there was no
reflection of hers...... I was frozen with my heart pumping faster than ever when I
saw to my side there was no one....
