Jaipur: The Pink City
The very first planned city of India, painted in pink named Jaipur has a ravishing history behind it. It's past had a line of kings who ruled the pink city and lived in the magnificent forts and palaces. It is the capital of Rajasthan which was discovered by Maharaja Sawai jai singh in 1727. There is an engrossing story about it's "Pink culture".
The terracotta-pink colour was in the influence of the the king Sawai Ram Singh. in 1876 prince Albert Edward of wales came to India and since pink was considered the colour of hospitality, Maharaja made the decision to paint the whole city of Jaipur with pink to welcome the prince. Albert Edward described Jaipur as the pink city which it is known till today. Sawai Ram Singh made sure that the prince visited Jaipur by constructing the Albert Hall in his honour.
in 2019, Jaipur owned the privilege of becoming the World Heritage site by UNESCO. Every year a crowd of visitors visit Jaipur and it's famous places like Hawa mahal, Jal mahal, Nahargarh fort. Amber fort and many such splending monuments which don't stop amusing each person who visit's it. The unique history and the enticing beauty of the pink city, Jaipur, makes it different and exceptional throughout the world.
